About

Listen, engage, and inspire growth

I began my counseling career as a professional school counselor working in urban schools, grades kindergarten through senior year. Seeing, first-hand, the need for my students and their families to have more meaningful connections and resources for positive change, inspired me to become a therapist. My sessions provide the time and space my clients need to learn how to break dysfunctional generational patterns and to move forward through past trauma. This work enables my clients to practice new skills to empower their own healing and self-care. The best way to reach a child is through play, so I trained to become a registered play therapist (RPT™), but I’ll let you in on a secret, play therapy is for adults, too. However, each individual is unique, so I use integrated therapies drawing from cognitive behavioral therapy and psychoeducation to help my clients help themselves. I greatly enjoy people and have worked with diverse populations both in the school and outpatient clinic settings. These include races and ethnicities from all over the globe, as well as those in the LGBTQ+ community. It would be my privilege to help you and/or your family on your journey to healthy mental health. Additionally, my school counseling experience enables me to assist families in supporting their child's educational needs.
